Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the uAlarm application, ualarm.app and related services.

By downloading, installing, accessing or using uAlarm, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use uAlarm.

uAlarm may be distributed through one or more authorized app stores, marketplaces, websites or other distribution channels. Additional terms imposed by the platform or distribution channel through which you obtain uAlarm may also apply.

1. The uAlarm service

uAlarm is an alarm clock application designed to require completion of a selected mission before an alarm can be dismissed through the app.

Available missions may include mathematics, memory exercises, typing, shaking the device, object recognition, QR codes, barcodes, NFC tags, push-ups, squats, jumping jacks and walking.

uAlarm may also provide alarm sounds, themes, wake-up statistics, account backup, Bedtime/app-blocking features and other tools.

uAlarm may be made available on different supported platforms and through different authorized distribution channels over time. Availability, features, system integrations and payment options may vary by platform, operating-system version, region and distribution channel. References to unreleased versions or features do not constitute a promise that they will be released.

2. Free and paid features

uAlarm offers a free tier and optional paid access referred to as uAlarm Pro.

The number of alarms that the free tier may keep enabled and able to ring is determined by the current plan configuration shown in the app. The free allowance may be zero.

An alarm may remain saved and visible even when the current plan does not allow it to remain enabled.

If your Pro entitlement expires, is refunded, is revoked or otherwise ends, alarms beyond your current allowance may automatically be switched off and their scheduled system alarms canceled.

uAlarm will not intentionally interrupt an alarm that is already actively ringing solely because the plan changes while that alarm is in progress. After the active alarm ends, your available alarm allowance may be enforced.

Pro may also provide access to Bedtime and app-blocking features. The features included in a paid plan are shown before purchase.

3. Accounts and backups

uAlarm automatically creates an anonymous account when you first use the app. Ordinary alarm functionality does not require you to provide your name or email address.

You may optionally link the account to Apple or Google.

When an identity is successfully linked, the existing uAlarm account, its identifier, backup and subscription remain the same.

If the Apple or Google identity already belongs to another uAlarm account, uAlarm may require you to use the existing account or contact support rather than automatically merging accounts or payment histories.

You are responsible for maintaining control of any Apple or Google account you use to access uAlarm.

Server-backed data and account handling are described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Signing out and deleting an account

Signing out and deleting an account are different actions.

Signing out clears uAlarm's local alarms, statistics, settings and cached subscription state from the current device and returns the app to onboarding. It does not delete the server-side account or its backup.

Deleting your account through Settings → Account → Delete Account permanently removes the uAlarm account data described in the Privacy Policy, subject to limited payment records that may be retained after their link to the account is removed.

Deleting a uAlarm account does not automatically cancel or refund an Apple subscription.

Deleting an account with a remaining Payme or Click entitlement permanently forfeits that entitlement, because it belongs to the uAlarm account for which the payment was made. A Pro or Premium purchase made through the App Store or Google Play stays linked to the deleted account and cannot be restored into a new account by the app; on request, and after we have verified the store receipt, we transfer it to your new account. Deletion does not cancel a store subscription or refund it; cancel it in your store settings first.

5. Alarm reliability

uAlarm is designed to provide reliable alarms, but no mobile alarm application can guarantee that an alarm will always ring, ring at the exact requested time, remain audible or successfully wake you.

Alarm operation can be affected by circumstances including:

On supported iOS versions, uAlarm uses Apple's system alarm functionality. On other supported iOS versions, alarm behavior may depend more heavily on notifications and application execution.

uAlarm contains safeguards intended to improve alarm reliability, but those safeguards do not create a guarantee.

Do not use uAlarm as your only safeguard for an event where failure to wake could result in death, injury, a medical emergency, serious financial loss or another consequence you cannot reasonably accept.

Use an appropriate independent backup for critical alarms.

6. Missions and physical activity

You choose which missions to use.

Exercise missions such as push-ups, squats, jumping jacks and walking involve physical activity, often immediately after waking.

Only choose physical missions that are appropriate for your health, fitness, mobility and surroundings.

Stop an exercise if you experience pain, dizziness, difficulty breathing, loss of balance or other concerning symptoms.

If you have a medical condition, injury, disability, are recovering from surgery, are pregnant, or otherwise have reason to be cautious about sudden physical activity, seek appropriate professional advice before choosing an exercise mission.

uAlarm does not provide medical, health or fitness advice and does not assess whether a mission is safe for you personally.

Camera missions may temporarily increase screen brightness, including to a very high level, to assist camera operation in dark conditions. Do not use such features if bright light creates a safety concern for you.

7. Mission verification

Some missions use automated on-device technology to determine whether the mission has been completed.

Automated verification may make mistakes. A repetition may not be counted, an object may not be recognized, a step may be missed, or a movement may be incorrectly interpreted.

Mission verification is provided only for the alarm experience. It is not a medical, fitness, identification, security or safety assessment.

The Privacy Policy explains how camera and sensor information is handled.

8. Bedtime and app blocking

Bedtime and app-blocking features are optional.

They use Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time technologies to restrict apps selected through Apple's system interfaces.

You are responsible for choosing which restrictions to enable and for ensuring that you can safely complete any mission required to obtain temporary access.

Family Controls, Screen Time and other system restrictions depend on Apple's operating system and permissions and may change or become unavailable.

If you enable uAlarm's protection against app deletion during alarm dismissal, Apple's available system control may prevent app deletion across the device while that protection is active, rather than restricting deletion of uAlarm alone.

9. Purchases through Apple and Google

If in-app purchase is offered in the version of uAlarm you use, purchases are billed and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under the terms shown at purchase.

Where it is offered, uAlarm is available as uAlarm Pro, a yearly auto-renewing subscription, and uAlarm Premium, a one-time lifetime purchase that includes everything Pro provides, at the prices displayed by the store before purchase. Prices differ by country.

Store purchases are linked to the uAlarm account that was signed in when the purchase was made. To use a purchase on another device, or after reinstalling, sign in with that same uAlarm account and use Restore Purchases; a purchase cannot be restored into a different uAlarm account.

Recurring subscriptions renew according to the terms shown by the store at purchase unless canceled.

You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings.

Canceling a subscription prevents future renewal but does not itself create a refund for a period already purchased.

Refund eligibility for store purchases is determined by Apple or Google and applicable law.

A lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase rather than a recurring subscription. It provides the paid uAlarm features associated with that purchase for the lifetime of the uAlarm service or product to which it applies. It is not a guarantee that uAlarm or any online service will operate indefinitely.

If you have both a recurring subscription and a lifetime purchase, purchasing the lifetime product does not cancel the recurring subscription automatically. You are responsible for reviewing and managing existing store subscriptions.

10. Payme and Click payments

Where Payme or Click is offered, including for supported users in Uzbekistan, uAlarm may provide Payme or Click payment instructions instead of an in-app Apple checkout.

uAlarm displays a payment ID (7 digits; an older 12-digit number, where one exists, also remains valid). You make the payment separately through Payme or through Click, the payment app of CLICK LLC, by entering that payment ID and the amount in the provider's app.

You are responsible for checking the account number and payment information before confirming the payment.

A successful Payme or Click payment credits the uAlarm account associated with the payment account number.

Payme and Click purchases are separate from Apple and Google Play purchases and do not create, extend, cancel or refund an Apple or Google Play subscription.

If a Payme or Click payment is refunded or canceled, uAlarm may remove the subscription time or entitlement created by that payment and recalculate the account's remaining entitlement from valid payment records. Click does not notify uAlarm of refunds; refunds and reversals of Click payments are initiated by uAlarm through Click and then recorded.

If the uAlarm account is deleted while a Click payment is in progress and the card has already been charged, uAlarm cannot deliver the entitlement and reverses (refunds) that payment.

Deleting the uAlarm account permanently forfeits any remaining entitlement purchased through Payme or Click for that account.

11. Prices and changes to plans

Available payment methods depend on your region, platform and distribution channel. The app or authorized checkout will show the applicable payment provider, price, renewal terms and available plan before purchase. These Terms do not mean that every payment method is available on every version of uAlarm.

Prices, currencies, available plans and plan features are shown before purchase.

The checkout method offered to you may depend on the country associated with your network connection.

We may change future pricing, the free-tier allowance, plan availability or features offered to new purchases.

Changes to recurring Apple subscription prices are also subject to Apple's processes and any notice or consent requirements that apply.

Nothing in this section limits rights that applicable consumer law gives you.

12. Acceptable use

You must not:

Restrictions on reverse engineering or similar activity apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and Apple's applicable license terms.

13. Intellectual property

uAlarm's software, branding, user interface, artwork, mascot designs, alarm tones, themes, wallpapers and other content are owned by uAlarm or its licensors.

Except for rights expressly granted to you under Apple's applicable license terms and these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

Subject to these Terms and any additional terms that apply to the distribution channel through which you obtained uAlarm, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to install and use a lawfully obtained copy of uAlarm on devices you own or control, for your own use in accordance with these Terms.

This license does not transfer ownership of uAlarm or any of its content. It ends if your right to use uAlarm is terminated under these Terms or under applicable platform or distribution-channel terms.

You retain responsibility for text and other information you choose to enter into the app, such as alarm labels.

Feedback or suggestions you voluntarily provide may be used to improve uAlarm without an obligation to compensate you for that feedback.

14. Third-party services

Depending on the platform, region, distribution channel and features you use, some or all of the following third-party services may apply.

Those services may become unavailable, experience outages, change their functionality or impose restrictions outside uAlarm's control.

Apple, where applicable, provides App Store purchasing, Sign in with Apple, system alarm functionality and Family Controls technologies.

Google provides Google sign-in and ML Kit.

Supabase provides backend authentication, database, storage, synchronization and real-time infrastructure.

Cloudflare provides website delivery, regional country detection, backend execution, Payme and Click API infrastructure and database connectivity.

Payme processes supported payments in Uzbekistan.

Click (CLICK LLC) processes supported payments in Uzbekistan.

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.

15. Availability and changes to uAlarm

We may maintain, improve, update, add, modify or discontinue features of uAlarm over time.

We do not guarantee that every feature, mission, tone, theme, operating-system integration or online service will remain available permanently.

We may temporarily suspend parts of the service for maintenance, security, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where applicable law requires notice, refunds or other remedies for a material change to a paid service, those rights are not limited by these Terms.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, uAlarm and ualarm.app are provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not warrant that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available, that every alarm will ring successfully, that every mission will be verified correctly, or that every third-party service will remain available.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Some jurisdictions do not permit some warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, this section applies only to the extent legally permitted.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, uAlarm is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, opportunities, goodwill or data arising from your use of the service.

In particular, to the maximum extent permitted by law, uAlarm is not responsible for losses resulting from an alarm failing to ring, ringing late, being inaudible, being dismissed unexpectedly, or otherwise failing to wake you.

This limitation includes consequences such as missed appointments, work shifts, examinations, transportation, travel or deadlines, except where applicable law does not permit such liability to be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, uAlarm's total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to uAlarm will not exceed the greater of:

If the claim relates to a lifetime uAlarm purchase made more than 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, the amount paid for that lifetime purchase will be included for purposes of this cap.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability or consumer right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using uAlarm at any time.

You may delete your uAlarm account as described in Section 4.

We may restrict access to online services or suspend an account if we reasonably believe it is being used to abuse the service, interfere with other users, circumvent access controls or payments, compromise security, or violate these Terms.

Where reasonable and legally permitted, we will provide notice of a suspension or termination.

Termination of a uAlarm account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Apple subscriptions must be managed through Apple.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers and limitations of liability, continue to apply after use ends.

19. Platform-specific terms

If you obtain uAlarm through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to the license for that App Store copy unless a valid custom EULA applies. These Terms continue to govern uAlarm's services, accounts, features and other matters not governed by that platform license, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Other app stores, marketplaces, websites, operating-system providers or authorized distribution channels may impose additional terms. Those terms apply where relevant to the copy of uAlarm obtained through that channel.

No distribution platform is responsible for uAlarm's backend, customer support, or Payme or Click transactions unless that platform's applicable terms expressly provide otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms changes rights or obligations that apply under a platform's terms or applicable law.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to uAlarm, its features, payment methods, legal requirements or service providers.

The current version will be published on ualarm.app with an updated effective or revision date.

If a change materially affects existing users or paid services, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may stop using uAlarm and cancel any recurring subscription through the provider that bills you.

21. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

If we do not immediately enforce a provision, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your uAlarm account or your rights under these Terms to another person except where applicable law permits it.

We may transfer rights and obligations relating to uAlarm as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing or transfer of the uAlarm service, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and Apple's applicable license terms constitute the terms governing your use of uAlarm and its related services.
